Forget the OG, stats prove Armando Izzo is having a great season

Last weekend’s own goal against Sampdoria shouldn’t dampen Armando Izzo’s mood too much… we hope.
We have more than hope for the Neapolitan defender, however: his Azzurri ambitions could well be helped by the fact that Izzo is, so far so this season, the second most prolific interceptor in the league.
Recovering possession on 37 occasions, the 24-year-old is behind only Dario Dainelli, who has 38, but has also played an extra game - Genoa still needing to finish their tie with Fiorentina.
