FOCUS: Juve still waiting for Higuain

There have been many expectations around yesterday’s meeting between Napoli president and Juventus executives, but, finally, only something obvious happened: the bianconeri have asked some information about Gonzalo Higuain before thinking about using the player’s release clause, and the azzurri refused to negotiate.

This way, both clubs have put the player in front of his responsibility: Napoli’s president De Laurentiis has clearly said that if the Argentine will leave, it will be only because of his decision, and with the complicity of a rich and reckless club. On the other hand, the Serie A defending champions are waiting for an important sign from the 29-year-old.

The Piedmont’s club has only one choice left: to pay the release clause in two installments or not. Juve can afford to do it, especially if an important player like Paul Pogba will be sold.
