FOCUS: Juve, €100m from the sales

The current one is probably Juventus’ most sumptuous transfer market campaign in the last two decades. It’s true that Paul Pogba is just one step away from Manchester United, but it’s just a coincidence that it’s happening while Higuain is joining the bianconeri: the Piedmont’s club had in fact already planned a huge reinforcement of its team, and didn’t need to sell the French midfielder.

However, with Pogba leaving and Bonucci intended to stay, the Serie A defending champions will now focus on selling some players, and they are expecting to earn about €100 million, including the amount of Morata’s rebuy clause.

For what concerns the offensive line, Mario Mandzukic is not considered unsellable, but the Croat himself recently stated that he doesn’t want to leave. Now, we the arrival of Higuain, the former Bayern Munich man could change his mind, and Juve could earn about €25 million by selling the 30-year-old; similar evaluation for Simone Zaza, who is still undecided about Wolfsburg’s offer, probably because he’s waiting for a more attractive destination, in Italy or in England.

For sure, two midfielders will leave: one is Roberto Pereyra, who remains a target for Napoli despite the Higuain-gate, even though Zenit St. Petersburg, Watford and West Ham keep on tracking him. The two other candidates are Hernanes and Mario Lemina: the former Inter Milan man doesn’t have many suitors, while the Gabonese player –for whom RB Leipzig have recently made an offer- has refused to join Betis and still hopes for a call from Leicester City.

Finally, the 22-year-old defender Daniele Rugani seems unhappy after that Juve have signed Mehdi Benatia: the former Empoli man has many suitors, including Napoli, but the bianconeri want at least €30 million to let him go. Also the Brazilian goalkeeper Neto could join the azzurri, after that he has refused a transfer to Besiktas.
