FOCUS Brozovic, Gabigol just the latest talents Juve and Inter are squabbling over
It all began with Domenico Berardi, whose permanence at Sassuolo raised some suspicion, as Juventus technical director Giuseppe Marotta was accused of tampering with his desired move to Inter, with the Old Lady having previously obtained a verbal agreement to move to Turin. It is likely that hostilities will resume in January.
Next come the Brazilians: Gabriel Jesus and Gabigol began the summer as Juve targets, with Inter only too happy to always increase the pot. Whilst Manchester City have nabbed the former, the latter is only to choose a winning team after the Olympics.
Juventus certainly won the race for Marko Pjaca, whom Inter were initially interested in, along with Milan and Napoli.
Luiz Gustavo is also being pursued by both clubs, but Wolfsburg are interested in Simone Zaza, and the Brazilian could be thrown into the deal.
Now, Inter are refusing to increase Marcelo Brozovic's €1.2 million salary, prompting Juventus to throw their hat in the ring, making an informal offer of at least €3m a year. The Bianconeri could pay Inter the €30m they want for the Croatian, allowing Inter to go for Gustavo.
