Five reasons why Juventus should not sell Bonucci

Manchester City will do everything they can to sign Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian centre-back’s agent is flying to England where he will meet the representatives of the Premier League club.

Pep Guardiola is ready to offer € 60 million for the 29-year-old defender, but Juventus consider the product of Inter academy and unsellable part of their squad, even more than Manchester United target Paul Pogba for whom the Red Devils are reportedly ready to offer € 120 million.

CM.com Gianluca Minchiotti believes Juventus should not sell Bonucci and provides five reasons why Juventus should not sell Bonucci.
    1. The secret of Juventus’ success is the Italian defensive block composed by Bonucci, Barzagli and Chiellini.
    2. Bonucci reflects the image of the club. Juventus fans love him as much as their opponents’ fans ‘hate’ him.
    3. Bonucci is one of the best defenders in the world. It is definitely easier to replace a midfielder (Khedira-Vidal) or a striker (Dybala-Tevez) than a quality centre-back like Bonucci. Benatia could be a good replacement, but he has been suffering far too many injuries over the last couple of seasons with Bayern Munich. He is probably the best defender with the ball at his feet at the moment.
    4. Bonucci is already 29, true. But look at what Barzagli’s doing at 35. The career of a professional footballer lasts more than 15-20 years ago and Bonucci is now at the peak of his career.
    5. He is very affordable in a three-man defence as well as in a four-man line. Bonucci played centre-back in a 4-3-1-2 system one year ago when Juventus faced Bourssia Dortmund, AS Monaco and Real Madrid in the Champions League.

What would you do with Bonucci? Should Juventus keep him or sell him for € 60 million?
