Fiorentina trying to secure their starlet Marcos Alonso

After the game won against Atalanta, Fiorentina have become the solo leader of the Serie A standing; one of the stars of Paulo Sousa’s team has become the Spanish left back Marcos Alonso Mendoza, who was considered for sale during the last transfer window. The contract of the 24-year-old –who could be soon called by Vicente Del Bosque for the national team- will expire at the end of the current season, so –as outlined by calciomercato.com’s expert Fabrizio Romano- the viola and the player’s father and agent Marcos Alonso Pena have already met several times since the end of August to talk about a new deal. The Tuscan club will have in any case to hurry up to secure its starlet, as the English and Spanish teams with whom they have been negotiating last Summer are now in touch with Alonso’s agents themselves. Fiorentina would like to extend Alonso's contract until June 2018 and augment his salary.
