Fiorentina to meet EPL wannabe Mario Gomez
Rather than make an appearance at the team's training camp in Austria, Gomez is in the Tuscan capital so he can have a meeting with Pantaleo Corvino, to understand how the two sides can part amicably.
The German international smashed in 26 goals on loan to Besiktas last season, and is seeking pastures new. He wants to be released on a Bosman, whilst Corvino doesn't want to sell the 31-year-old for anything less than €7 million.
Gomez cost the Viola €15.5 million back in 2013, only for him to net a paltry 7 Serie A goals amid poor form and repeat injuries. He has been linked to a move to West Ham, who are reportedly set to offer £7m for his services.
