Fiorentina, Gabigol: "There has been contact but he's not worth €30 million"
Are Fiorentina ready to spend 30 million for Gabriel Barbosa Almeida or Gabigol? According to his intermediary Angel Arquilla, no they are not. He recently spoke to Violanews.com stating that; “There has been no offer because there has just been a change in management and we still have to understand what the intentions are from Corvino. I can confirm that the previous Sporting Director of the club was interested in the player, there was contact in January and we will now see if we are able to resume the dialogue”. When asked if the 19-year-old Brazilian was being quoted at €30 million, he declared that; “It’s a figure that does not exist, it’s made up by the newspapers and not formulated by Santos. We are talking about a boy of 20 years old with enormous quality, however in Europe he still needs to prove everything. I believe that his value is much lower”.
