Fiorentina and Roma in fight for Zampano

Francesco Zampano is having a great start to life in Serie A with Pescara. The 23-year-old defender has become known as the assist man after contributing to three of his sides top-flight goals this season.

    FIORENTINA CONTACT:
As Calciomercato.com has discovered, Pescara has already been contacted by Fiorentina as to the availability of the boy from Genoa. La Viola are anxious to try to secure a deal but Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has asked for a fee of around €3-4 million for his star player; a fee thought to be too much by CEO Pantaleo Corvino.

    ROMA READY TO AMBUSH:
Coach Massimo Oddo can sleep easy however as its pretty unlikely any business will be done in the January window. The idea would be for any sale to be finalised in the next window but for the player to remain at the club until the end of the season. Roma are happy to work within this policy and that’s why new Sporting Director Frederic Massara is ready to meet both the club and the players agent in the next few days.
