Fabrizio Romano: Juventus to meet Atalanta over Kessié, Spurs have already offered €23m

Beyond nearing the signing of Axel Witsel, Juventus have some more important deals to make this week.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Bianconeri are set to meet Atalanta this week over Tottenham target Franck Kessié, as well as defender Mattia Caldara.

Kessié, 19, has been a star this season, netting five Serie A goals and attracting interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. Caldara is another young Orobico who has grabbed headlines with his strong performances.

Set to meet with the Bergamo side, it looks like Juventus will have to spend around 50m for both players. Hardly a light shop for the January window.

Tottenham have, for their part, already made a 23m offer for Kessié, who has attracted clubs from up and down the Italian peninsula, with Roma and Napoli particularly interested.

Caldara, for his part, is in much the same situation, having attracted Inter, Napoli and AC Milan’s gaze.
