Exclusive: ‘Zaza could leave West Ham in January’ agent says
What’s wrong with your son’s experience at West Ham?
“Honestly, I don’t know. There are many situations to be analyzed. I’ll be in London the day after tomorrow to meet my son and the club.”
Bilic wanted him at all costs last summer, but do you think Zaza could leave the club before the season ends? “Let’s see. It’s difficult to predict. I can’t ensure that he’s going to stay at the club until the end of the season, nor I can’t say that he’s definitely going to leave. We need to analyze the situation.”
Is he [Zaza] disappointed for not being called to Italy national team?
“Of course he is. He loves the Italy shirt and is not happy to be left out of squad, but we respect Ventura’s decision.”
Napoli wanted to sign him last summer, have they recently contacted you?
“No, not recently. You know he was a target of Napoli last summer, there was a concrete negotiation at the time, but nobody has called me of late.”
What about AC Milan?
“They haven’t made contact either”
Would Zaza be open to move to any of these two clubs?
“Absolutely. He’d love that. If they’d call, I’d be happy to talk to them.”
Zaza, 25, has nine appearances and no goals in all competitions with West Ham so far this season. As Juventus’ CEO Giuseppe Marotta said a few weeks ago, West Ham will have to activate the player’s option to buy when he reaches the 14th appearance with the club. When that happens, AC Milan, Napoli and all other interested clubs will have to negotiate with the Premier League side if they want to lure the former Juventus star.
