EXCLUSIVE Where do AC Milan stand with Jack Bonaventura?
This decline seems to have coincided with the cooling of any transfer interest in the midfielder, whose exclusion from Italy's Euro 2016 squad raised quite a few eyebrows. Bonaventura, 26, had previously attracted the likes of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, but we've heard little from them since, as they don't value Jacky at the 20 million want.
With the Rossoneri still looking for players like Piotr Zielinski and Marko Pjaca, though, it's not as if they consider their man to be indispensable: Adriano Galliani's policy seems to be one of listening to any offers, and potentially accepting one too good to refuse.
What about Coach Montella? Rather interestingly, Montella has gone from using Bonaventura on the left (where he played last season), to putting him in the middle, something which didn't really work under Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Very graceful on the ball, the 26-year-old always gives Milan something extra with his one-on-one dribbling, and he isn't suited to defensive duties in the middle, either.
It looks like we may be hearing more interesting things on the Bonaventura front after all..
