EXCLUSIVE: West Ham increase offer for Carlos Bacca

Carlos Bacca is expected to join his teammates in Milanello tomorrow ahead of travelling to the USA where the rossoneri will play a preseason friendly tournament. The Colombian striker rejected West Ham’s contract offer informing the club that he aims to play Champions League football next season.

However, sources told calciomercato.com that the Hammers have yet to give up on the player. West Ham have offered the player an improved € 4 million-a year salary (plus bonus) and have also raised the offer to AC Milan, adding € 2 million to their previous € 30 million bid.

AC Milan are planning to sell Bacca in order to finance the first part of their transfer campaign as Silvio Berlusconi is negotiating the sale of the majority share in the club and is not going to invest money on a club he is going to leave pretty soon after more than 30 years of presidency.

As of Bacca, the Hammers’ have matched his requests; will he accept or wait for the move of a club playing the Champions League?

Napoli could be interested if they sell Higuain this summer.
