EXCLUSIVE: Warning Juve, PSG want to keep Cavani if Ibra leaves
As previously reported, the Old Lady’s priority is signing Edinson Cavani who is not on good terms anymore with manager Laurent Blanc.
The former Napoli star would be open to a move back to Italy, and Juventus could ensure him that starring role he has been desperately looking so for during his spell at PSG, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic has always been the most shining star.
However, with the Swedish ace who could be on his way out to Parc des Princes in the summer (his contract expires in June 2016), PSG owner Nasser Al Khelaifi could decide to propose Cavani a contract extension and a pay rise.
According to CM.com’s transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, Cavani might be offered a salary in the region of €12-13 million a year, less than what Juventus could offer the Uruguayan star.
Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici are well aware that Cavani will not be an easy player to sign. Competition is also extremely high as some of the best Premier League clubs are chasing the striker.
However, the Old Lady feels she can offer him that starring role he was not able to get in France and a salary which would be less than the one offered by the wealthy PSG owner, but still a contract suitable a top-class striker.
