EXCLUSIVE: Thohir wants Inter to part with Ljajic
With the season nearing an end, it's decision time for Inter Milan, who have to evaluate a number of their current squad players to see where they can spend... and where they can try to cut their losses.
One name increasingly associated with the guillotine is that of Adem Ljajic, the Serbian talent who began life well for the Nerazzurri (once he started playing, that is, even prompting talk of a buyout), before declining in the second half of the season.
Coach Roberto Mancini (who dropped the 24-year-old earlier this season because of his poor work ethic) doesn't just believe that the Roma loanee can do a lot better... he is also not convinced that the club should excercise his buyout clause of €11 million.
And the club's higher echelons agree.... including owner Erick Thohir.
Seen as too inconsistent to be worth that kind of money, it looks like Inter will be sending Ljajic back to Roma... and shopping again in the summer for an attacking midfielder.
