EXCLUSIVE Romano: Three options for Caceres

The future of Juventus defender Martin Caceres remains uncertain: first of all, the 29-year-old must recover from a serious injury, that will take him out of the pitch for a long period. Moreover, his agent Daniel Fonseca is working to solve his client’s situation, as his contract will expire at the end of the current season.

During the last transfer window, Inter Milan and AS Roma have tried to sign the Uruguay international, but the bianconeri have refused to let him go; now, both club are ready to swoop again of the former Sevilla man. The latter’s priority remains in any case Juve, and the Lombard club’s executives will soon meet Fonseca to talk about the contract’s renewal.

The Serie A defending champions are ready to extend Caceres’ deal until June 2019 and to offer him €2 million per season. The player will ask for a higher salary, but the two parties will probably try an agreement. In the mid time, both the nerazzurri and the giallorossi observe attentively his situation.
