Chelsea’s Brazilian play-maker Oscar has been linked many times with a move to Italy; Juventus have had the player at the top of their transfer policy for a while but have always decided to go down a different road. The 24-year-old has never hid behind the fact that he is considering a move away from Stamford Bridge but with the arrival of Antonio Conte comes a new cycle at the club. Now Inter wants to understand if Oscar will be part of this new cycle.
 

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has already been in touch with a contact in London to find out the availability of the player. The ds knows Oscar well, since his time with the Brazilian Under 20 side where he first broke to stardom. At the time, the nerazzurri chose Coutinho but a dialogue had been put in place with his agent Kia Joorabchian, an intermediary known worldwide who has moved closer to Inter since the Suning Group takeover. It’s he who has opened the idea to a move to Serie A for the player, the wheels are in motion but can Inter really close the deal?  

The operation would be extremely difficult. High costs are a real stumbling block; €35 million the amount that is needed to be able to sit down and negotiate. Chelsea however, has not stated that their player is untouchable and Kia has assured Ausilio that all is not lost. Mancini, should he remain in charge, would like to include the attacking Brazilian midfielder in his starting XI and the player is certainly not seen as an alternative to Candreva, who should arrive at the club this week. Having already taken Banega on a free transfer, an outlay of this kind for a player who would rival the Argentinian for a starting berth may be a gamble too far and with attention turning to Brazilian striker Gabigol, priorities currently lay elsewhere. With Kia fighting in their corner however, there could still be more twists and turns in Oscar situation.
