EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juventus reject Caceres bids from Inter and Roma
With Martin Caceres' contract running out soon, a number of Serie A clubs have been hoping to take the Uruguayan international off Juventus' hands.
We here at Calciomercato.com can exclusively report that Inter and Roma are still after the former Sevilla player, and that the Giallorossi have made an offer in the region of €3 million to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico in January. Nothing doing.
Inter, for their part, have already tried to offer a straight swap with Andrea Ranocchia, which the Old Lady refused.
Could things change? Well, agent Daniel Fonseca is flying in from South America on Saturday, and wil be meeting Juventus face to face to understand what their intentions are.
Do not underestimate the possibility of a contract renewal, which we here at cm.com thought was out of the question when the Uruguayan went all Fast and Furious again in September.
The Old Lady certainly doesn't want to hand Caceres over to a direct rival, unless a really special offer is made for him. Coach Allegri likes the defender for his versatility, because he can use him if he has to go with three at the back, or as part of a four-man line.
