EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juventus consider Rugani to be untouchable

Daniele Rugani isn't going anywhere, according to our sources.

Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reveals that Arsenal have got their intermediaries involved once again in the last few days, with Arsene Wenger a big fan of the former Empoli defender. They wouldn't be the first team to try: just like Napoli - who offered €28 million last year - the Gunners weren't able to get anywhere last season.

Though it has taken Allegri a while to integrate Rugani into his starting XI, it seems that Juventus have been relying on him for a long time, and need a successor to the three-man defence that has allowed them to keep things tight at the back for years. Ever since they won their first Scudetto, the Old Lady hasn't conceded more than 24 goals in a single Serie A season.

In terms of adding players, the Bianconeri are still looking for someone, but the feelers they've sent to Bayern Munich have all come back with the same answer: the former Roma man is too expensive. With Martin Caceres leaving, however, Juventus are planning something...
