EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juve's plan for Saponara
Though Saponara is extremely happy in Tuscany, he made a shock admission yesterday:
“I would like to remain until the end of the season, but never say never”
The former AC Milan hopeful is admired by Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, but he is not an ideal fit for the azzurri’s formation. AS Roma have been watching him for a long time, while both Inter Milan and Fiorentina have already contacted Empoli.
Moreover, some English clubs –first of all Everton- have sent their scouts to Italy to observe him. And behind the scenes, there are still the Rossoneri themselves, who can still earn some money from his transfer.
Serie A defending champions Juventus are also keen on Saponara: the bianconeri can still grab the former Milan promise if they sign him in January for a big fee, and leave him in Tuscany until the end of the season, a condition Empoli would definitely ask to be included in the deal.
