EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Inter let go of Alario, Martinez already booked for June
The January transfer window at Inter looks set to concentrate on the defensive side of things. Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has already drawn up his wish-list and at the top of the agenda, is a new left-back. Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian remains a strong favourite with Benfica’s Nelson Semedo and Barcelona’s Alex Vidal also standing-by. In attack however, Mauro Icardi remains the clubs only point of reference and something will certainly be done to add more firepower.
MARTINEZ BOOKED:
Roger Martinez, the 22-year-old Colombian currently plying his trade in China at the nerazzurri’s sister club Jiangsu Suning, is pretty much booked to arrive in Serie A next summer. Martinez’s arrival would take one of the non EU spots in the squad but would certainly become the vice to Icardi with Rodrigo Palcio and Eder making way.
FROM ALARIO TO CAPRARI:
Inter are keeping a close watch on striker Gianluca Caprari. The 23-year-old is already on the books of the nerazzurri but has been loaned back to Pescara (the club he was originally purchased from) for the rest of the current campaign. The other subject of much scrutiny is River Plate frontman Lucas Alario but the 24-year-old Argentine has yet to fully convince Ausilio that he is the right man. Let s also not forget the name of Domenico Berardi, a long-time target for the nerazzurri but this of course, is another story…
