EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Inter, eyes towards Verre, a new attempt in January
New Inter owners Suning have set out a very clear brief on their transfer policy – take the best young talent Italy has to offer. Domenico Berardi, who was a target last summer, will be the subject of a new assault next year; Bernardeschi, Morosini and Caprari are also being kept on the radar. There is another name however, that the nerazzurri have written in their notebook and that’s the one of Valerio Verre, the 22-year-old Pescara midfielder who was nurtures in the Roma youth system.
NEW ATTEMPT:
In fact, Inter has already made an attempt to bring the player to the San Siro but Pescara rejected their offer along with that of Sampdoria; who have also tried on more than one occasion. Now Inter’s scouting team, headed up by Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are following Verre’s progress this season and another assault looks imminent. The price is thought to be around €7-8 million or there may even be a chance of a discount with Biraghi Manaj thrown into any potential deal. Inter remains vigilant, and there could be a January agreement put in place which leaves the player at the court of Oddo before a move to the nerazzurri at the end of the current campaign.
