EXCLUSIVE Romano: Inter change their plans for Calleri

    • Fabrizio Romano translated by M.G.
Important updates regarding the situation of the Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri, who seemed about to be signed by Inter Milan. As well known, the nerazzurri can’t sign a non-EU player during the current transfer window, so they were trying to find an agreement with Bologna to have the player sign for them. Nevertheless, considering the difficulties in the negotiation with the rossoblu, the Lombard club’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has decided to renounce to the 22-year-old. At least for the moment.

The player will join in any case the felsinei, but on loan from Deportivo Maldonado, so that the Emilia’s club Sporting Director Pantaleo Corvino will have the possibility to evaluate the youngster in the next months. However, Inter will keep on observing the Argentine, counting on their good relations with his family and the Investment fund that owns him.

With such plan, the nerazzurri won’t risk to loose the €12 million required to block the player now; on the other hand, if Calleri will do well at Bologna, the Lombard club will need a even higher amount to bring him to San Siro next summer.
