A life in nerazzurro for Piero Ausilio. Since 1998, he has been at the heart of Inter from building up the youth sector at the club to becoming the Sporting Director; the position in which he currently holds. So impressed have new owners the Suning Group that a contract renewal will shortly be put on the table.
 

City rivals Milan are looking for a new DS as they prepare a restructure of the club under their new Chinese owners. It’s widely believed that the rossoneri wanted Ausilio to become their new transfer guru and Marco Fassone cited the 44-year-old as the man he envisioned as being the successor to Adriano Galliani. Ausilio has declined this approach despite the two men having spent many years together at Inter.  

Tottenham Hotspur were another club interested in securing his services but now it seems his attention is solely focused on helping to rebuild the nerrazzurri to help to deliver a major trophy in the next few years. A new deal will take Ausilio up to 2019 and there is also a good chance their relationship will continue well beyond that. In October it should all be tied up whilst at Milan, the search continues.
