EXCLUSIVE Milan chase Monaco prodigy Mbappé
Kylian Mbappé is another young star in AS Monaco’s constellation, the 17-year-old being one of the leading lights in Les Bleus’ winning Under-19 European Championship run.
Problem is, the youngster isn’t getting much playing time in Ligue 1, managing only a measly 49 minutes so far this season. Despite being told by many that he’s big-headed and trying to rush things, it doesn’t look like the Parisian is letting anyone discourage him.
His father/agent Wilfrid recently revealed to L’Equipe that he doesn’t “understand how the club is managing him. Kylian isn’t happy, I can see that. Some say that he’s only 17 and should calm down, but he wants to play.
“He wants to feel like he’s part of a team’s project. If the situation doesn’t change by January, we’ll take stock of the situation”.
Mbappé is the youngest goalscorer in Monaco’s history, having netted against Troyes when 17 years and 62 days old… beating the record of a certain Thierry Henry!
Milan aren’t the only club interested in him, but they’ve clearly bought in more than fellow admirers Juventus and Inter.
