EXCLUSIVE: Juventus make last attempt for Matuidi
Persuading the Ligue1 side to sell one of their top midfielders will be nothing easy. The two clubs are not on good terms at all and president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has requested € 40 million for the highly-rated 29-year-old midfielder.
As our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano points out, however, Juventus have made one last offer to the player, hoping that he will be the one pushing for PSG exit, forcing the club to lower his price-tag.
The Old Lady has put on the table € 4.5 million a year plus bonus until 2020, the same salary that the player is getting at the Parc des Princes. Contacts with the player’s agent Mino Raiola are ongoing, but convincing PSG is not going to be an easy task.
Meantime, Marotta and Paratici hope to finalize the Cuadrado deal by this week, but that would still leave Massimiliano Allegri with short of options in centre midfield.
