EXCLUSIVE: Italy legend Dino Zoff believes Buffon will beat Rossi's record
The former AC Milan goalkeeper remained unbeaten for 929 minutes in the 1993/1994 campaign. Buffon could beat his record if Sassuolo and Torino don’t score a goal during Juventus’ next next two games.
Italy legend Dino Zoff, however, sit second in this special ranking as he was unbeaten for 903 minutes in the 1972-1973 campaign. CM.com’s Daniele Longo has exclusively talked to the legendary shot.stopper.
Mr. Zoff, Gigi Buffon coul be your record tonight. What do you think about it? “We are talking about an extraordinary goalkeeper. He’d deserve that. I am telling you more, he’ll beat both my and Rossi’s record, because Juve are an amazing team.”
Do you agree with those saying Juve are at the same level of some amazing teams like Arrigo Sacchi’s Milan?
“They will win their successive 5th Scudetto, they will make history. The last time a Serie A team did that was in 1935.”
The former AC Milan boss criticized them because they don’t win in Europe.
“Winning is all that matters. Honestly, I don’t really care about what Sacchi says.”
