EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Juve loanee starlet Rosseti: ‘I dream of returning to the club’
The latter was sent out on loan to FC Lugano last summer and the U-21 Italy International has released an exclusive interview with Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo.
You’ve already scored against two big sides: Basel and Grasshopper.
“I hope I am going to score some also against smaller sides, cause there are a lot and out target is to survive. Basel are playing their own league.”
Is the level of the Swiss league so weak? “I wouldn’t say that. I didn’t know their standards either before moving here. Now I can say that they are improving and the level is now pretty good. The league is developing.”
How was the beginning of your experience?
“Difficult at the beginning, but I am getting used to live here and now I am feeling well.”
Why did you opt to leave Italy?
“We made this choice with Juventus in order to improve. Here I get regular game time, in Italy that wouldn’t have happened. I wanted to try this experience, I hope it goes well.”
Is it more difficult for Italian prospects to emerge in Serie A compared to foreign footballers? “Youths are not trusted too much in Italy. When I moved to Juventus I struggled at the beginning, but I start getting some game time shortly after.”
What do you need to improve?
“I waste too much energy running up and down and sometimes I am not enough clear-minded when I arrive in front of goal. I have to improve and I can only do that playing on a regular basis.”
Do you have regrets for your spell at Atalanta?
“I didn’t play much, but I was feeling ok there and I had to remain out of action for seven months for a knee injury.”
You trained with Paulo Dybala and Higuain, what can you say about them? “Paulo is amazing. He’s a phenomenon . He’s also a very nice guy, but everyone is very helpful in that group, that’s why Juventus are inning so much. I could only train for three days with Higuain, that’s a pity. It will be a pleasure to see him playing alongside Dybala.”
You want to score as much goals as possible with Lugano to return to Juve, right?
“That’s my target. I want to score and improve my performances. Everyone dreams of playing with the best sides ever. What’s important for me, however, is focusing on the present. I want to grow and remain in Juventus’ orbit.”
