EXCLUSIVE: Inter send scouts to watch Atalanta goalkeeper Sportiello
Even if Samir Handanovic is a mainstay at the San Siro and has just put pen to paper on a contract extension with the club, a big summer offer could convince the Serie A giants to sell the 31-year-old goalkeeper to sign a younger goalie.
Under this term, Sportiello represent one of the best Italian prospects in that position.
Known to be one of the finest penalty kick savers of the league, a reputation he shares with the Slovenia International, Inter have sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old during Atalanta’ 2-0 win over Bologna and representatives from the club will also follow Sportiello’s progresses next Sunday, when La Dea will meet Torino in a Stadio Olimpico showdown.
Sportiello, a product of Atalanta academy, allowed 33 goals in 30 league games this season and Fiorentina have also been linked with welcoming the player’s services next summer.
