EXCLUSIVE: Details of negotiations between Napoli and Pescara for Leicester, Juve target Lapadula
As CM.com’s Giovanni Scotto reports, the partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis met his Pescara counterpart Daniele Sebastiani in Rome yesterday and the two parties are close to reach an agreement over Lapadula’s summer move to the San Paolo.
Napoli offered around € 5 million for the 26-year-old striker, even if the azzurri also placed a bid for youngsters Zampano, Caprari and Vitturini who are going to stay at Pescara on loan next season.
The Serie B side, however, asked € 7.5 million to allow Lapadula’s departure, but they informed Napoli yesterday that Lazio are also interested in signing Lapadula and that an undefined German club would be ready to offer more than € 10 million.
The two parties will carry on negotiations in the last few days. In the meantime Pescara president Sebastiani told reporters yesterday that Napoli are in pole position to sign Lapadula adding that the player would love to move to the San Paolo, but only move for a cash offer and not as part of a-player-plus-cash swap deal.
