DE JONG TO LA GALAXY IMMINENT
Talking exclusively to calciomercato.com from San Fermo della Battaglia, a small town in the province of Como, the Holland International has confirmed he’s in talks with one of the most popular sides in the MLS.
“That’s true. I am talking to LA Galaxy over a possible transfer there. At this stage, I can’t tell you exactly what is going to happen. Let’s see.”
According to the Los Angeles Times, LA Galaxy have offered de Jong a contract worth $ 1 million a year (roughly € 900.000).
The 31-year-old, by the way, has another two years left on his € 3.5 million a year and would probably demand his current club the full payout ahead of signing with the MLS side.
UPDATE: According to Sky Sport Italia, Nigel de Jong has said goodbye to his teammates ahead of this evening's Milan derby. The two clubs are expected to annuouce the deal very soon.
