EXCLUSIVE Conte considering Juve target Lapadula for Euro 2016!
You know how the Italian national team isn't exaclty going through a vintage generation?
With France 2016 just round the corner, it looks like only Lorenzo Insigne, Ciro Immobile, Eder and Graziano Pellé are the only attackers guaranteed on the plane.
We can exclusively reveal, however, that CT Antonio Conte has a solution: our sources tell us that he is considering calling up Gianluca Lapadula to Italy's first training camp, set to take place between May 18th and May 21st.
Lapadula would, it has to be said, only be a part of the first list of 30 players picked by Conte. Stranger things have happened, however, namely Paolo Rossi's shock call-up to the colours after a two-year suspension, before a trifling matter we like to call Spain '82.
Lapadula has netted 24 times in Serie B this season, and is helping drag Pescara by the scruff of the neck all the way to the playoffs. His goals have been enough to warrant Juventus' attention, along with team-mate Gianluca Caprari.
Peru's Coach, Ricardo Gareca, has made no secret of his interest for Lapadula, whose mother is Peruvian. That said, a call-up from Antonio would put an end once and for all to any Andean connection.
Not quite sure who Gianluca is, and what he can do? Check out the video below!
