Exclusive: Agent of Arsenal target lands is in Italy to open transfer talks with Inter and Napoli
The player’s agent met both Serie A clubs earlier this week and both clubs are very interested in signing the Arsenal target in the January window.
On the one hand, Napoli can offer the player some Champions League football (provided that Maurizio Sarrri’s side make it through the group stage, whilst Inter are on very good terms with Wolfsburg and finding an agreement with the Bundesliga giants could be easier especially after Ivan Perisic’s € 20 million switch in 2015.
The nerazzurri have been tracking the player for the last three years, when Massimiliano Mirabelli was the club’s chief scout. However, with Mirabelli who has been recently appointed as AC Milan’s new director of sport and with Leonel Vangioni who is likely to leave the club in January, the rossoneri could also join the race for the Wolfsburg defender even if AC Milan have yet to make contact with the player’s agent.
