EXCLUSIVE: AC Milan no point of arrival anymore, Bacca and Bonaventura tempted by summer exit
Another season without European competitions could convince two of the club’s main stars Carlos Bacca and Giacomo Bonaventura to look for new club next season.
As CM.com’s Federico Albrizio points out, the Colombian striker is the team’s leading scorer having found the net 16 times in Serie A this season. Next Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti is a long-time admirer of the 29-year-old hit-man, so much so he wanted to bring the former Sivilla star to the Bernabeu when he as in charge of Real Madrid.
With Robert Lewandowski who could leave the Allianz Arena in the summer, Ancelotti is pondering to welcome Bacca’s services. Talking about his future, the striker has kept all options open, refusing to rule out a future San Siro exit. An offer in the region of € 35-40 million could be the right one to convince AC Milan too.
Bonaventura’s contract runs until 2019. The club were ready to extend his stay and double his salary, but the former Atalanta ace has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal. Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are the most interested clubs in signing the 26-year-old midfielder, though AC Milan would only listen to mega-offers before selling one of their most valuable players.
