EXCLUSIVE: AC Milan eye Bayern Munich wantaway Julian Green
The USA International is struggling with playing time under Pep Guariola and would like to play more minutes with the Bavarian’s senior team in the future.
The Bundesliga giants, however, want Carlo Ancelotti to make the final call on Green’s future and will wait their new manager’s evaluation in the summer pre-season camp.
Green, an offensive winger who can play down both flanks, is a product of Bayern Munich academy but he has yet failed step up his career. He spent last season on loan at Hamburger SV, playing only one game and not even with the German’s senior team.
This year Green is playing for Bayern Munich’s second team, called Regionalliga Bayern, where he has scored 10 goals in 23 seasonal games. Representatives from the Italian club have scouted Green several times this season and the Rossoneri are confident they can seal the player’s transfer for a fee in the region of € 1-2 million.
The player’s affordable price-tag could even lower in the future, given that the Green’s contract runs until 2017.
