A goal every 92 minutes; this is the incredible statistic surrounding Torino striker Andrea Belotti in the first half of the current campaign. The player nicknamed “Gallo” (the rooster) currently has 10 league goals, the same as Dzeko and Icardi, but the difference is that the 22-year-old has not been an ever-present for his club like his illustrious colleagues.
 

If we look at the statistics since 2006, no-one has a better strike rate after 13 matches; even the incredible feats of Higuain last season don’t stand up in comparison. To find a striker in the Italian top-flight who has a better average than Belotti, you have to go back to season 2005-06 when Luca Toni scored an incredible 16 goals in his first 13 league outings. The numbers for Belotti will bring a smile to the faces of Torino fans everywhere, but there will also be some reaction from the Premier League with Everton still being linked with a possible move for the Italian international.
