Everton make official bid to buy Gabbiadini: all the details

Manolo Gabbiadini has been targeted by Premier League side Everton. The Italian striker failed to get regular time at the San Paolo last term mainly due to Gonzlo Huguain’s unreal form which allowed the Argentinean to score 36 goals in 35 leagues games becoming Serie A’s most prolific striker in a single campaign.

Despite lack of game time, however, Gabbiadini collected 9 goals in 982 minutes played in all competitions last term.

The 24-year-old striker started in Napoli’s 2-2 draw against Pescara last week-end, but failed to fill Higuain’s boots being replaced by newcomer Arkadiusz Milik. Being not a classic centre forward Napoli could decide the drop the product of Juventus academy and try invest proceedings on Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic whose playing style might fit more in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.

Everton are having a meeting with Napoli striker's agent in England and have made an offer of € 22.5 million for the former Sampdoria star.

Napoli are likely to refuse the Toffees’ opening bid asking somewhere around € 25 million to let the Italian striker leave the San Paolo after spending one year and a half at the club.
