EURO 2016, Del Bosque: ‘Spain path more complicated now, but we are not tired’

Spain will face Italy in the last 16 stage of Euro 2016. The azzurri have qualified as group winners, whilst the defending champions finished second behind Croatia who beat them yesterday night in Bordeaux.

Talking after yesterday’s defeat, Spain head coach Vicente Del Bosque told journalists: “The game was under control. It was a tough match and we lost it due to our mistakes.”

“That’s not the path we would have chosen and we are very disappointed for what happened. However, we have qualified and that’s all that matters. We have to look ahead even if our path is more complicated now.”

“Team is not tired, that’s why I am still optimistic for the remainder of the tournament.”
