Erick Thohir to land in Milan on Friday to lay down Inter plans

No doubt this is not a good moment for Inter. They only drew against Verona on Sunday and the victory against Chievo was not enough to forgot the heavy defeats against Juventus and Milan.

President Erik Thohir is expected to land in Milan between Friday and Saturday to lay out plans for the club’s future. The Indonesian businessman will attend Inter’s clash against Fiorentina at the Franchi. It will be the first away match that Thohir will watch from the stands since he became Inter’s president.

Thohir will remain in Milan for 15 days and he’ll have to deal with many issues both regarding the club’s control room as well as strategies for the summer transfer market.

As we previously reported, Umberto Gandini will replace Marco Fassone, becoming the club’s new Director General.

Gandini will be tasked with the job of taking care of relationship inside the Italian Football Association as well as carrying on some economic partnerships and following everything related to Serie A TV rights.

Then it’ll be Roberto Mancini's turn. The manager’s contract expires in 2017 and Thohir wants to know Mancini’s plans for his future, namely whether he wants to remain in charge of the club or not.

In the end, Thohir will meet Inter’s Director of Football Piero Ausilio to plan Inter’s summer transfer market. The Nerazzurri have found economic agreement with Ever Banega, though Manchester United are also rumored to have set sights on the Sevilla FC playmaker.

Whatever decision Thohir will make, by the way, he’ll expect the team to get better results straight away.
