Conte: 'Scudetto? We are still missing something'
While John Elkan said "Juventus is ready to win the Scudetto", Antonio Conte was more cautious in a press conference. He said that the team has not yet complete and some players are still missing. He then added that "Juventus have won 29 championships in the past", but "...now we need to win on the pitch again".
Conte's comments should not be taken as a disagreement with the club, on the contrary, the new coach is perfectly in line with its strategies. However, he's also realistic.
For sure, the club will do everything to make him happy. By the 31st of August new players will arrive, like Vargas, who is now favourite over Alex and Lugano. There might be another surprise for the attack, where Fabio Quagliarella's recovery is now the club's major concern.
