Edinson Cavani rejects PSG contract offer, Juventus still interested

‘No thanks’: le10sport.com reports that Edinson Cavani has refused to extend his stay at PSG refusing to pen a new contract with the Ligue1 giants. Cavani’s current deal at the Parc des Princes expires in June 2018 and not even the farewell of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been enough to convince the Uruguay International to stay at the club.

Cavani is the only centre forward left in Paris, that’s why Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gonzalo Higuain are now the number one targets of the French side.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is a long-time admirer of Cavani, so much so he is believed to have prioritized his signing this summer, ahead of any other hit-man around Europe. The bianconeri will do everything possible to meet their manager’s request and are currently monitoring the situation of the 29-year-old striker.

Trouble is, Juventus and PSG are not on good terms at all and Juventus will only make an attempt to sign Cavani if PSG will put the player out for sale. Offers of Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have already been rejected by PSG, butt things could change should Cavani be added on the French side’s list of departures.

Competition will be fierce, but Juventus want to sign Cavani and will do everything they can to welcome the player’s services this summer.
