It's time to apologize with Edin Dzeko
These figures are enough to claim that Edin Dzeko is finally back. A true centre forward who did not impress for AS Roma last term, but who’s also recovering lost ground. Scorer of ten goals in all competitions last term, fans and media used to laugh at him for his awkward mistakes in front of goal, claiming that he’s not worth the € 15 million AS Roma have invested to take him from Manchester City.
Dzeko managed to have a reaction and has been scoring bags of goals since the beginning of the campaign. Luciano Spalletti trusts him and the former Man City hit-man has turned into one of Roma’s strengths rather than one of their weak points, like many thought last season.
The giallorossi are just five points behind Juventus and are the Old Lady’s main challengers for the Serie A title. Dzeko’s goal helped both Wolfsburg and Manchester City to win titles in Germany and England and those who rushed to criticize him last term claiming that he’s not a top class striker would better look at Dzeko’s figures now.
