Dybala: ‘I wanted to play in Olympics but Juve said no’

Juventus striker Paulo Dybala talked to Argentinean media shortly after landing in Buenos Aires today explaining why he will not take part to Rio 2016 Olympics.

“I’ve never had the chance to play a tournament with my national team and it would have been great to do it alongside my coetaneous.”

“However, the decision was not up to me. I knew I would be part of the team because Martino told me so, but Juventus said no. My idea was to take part to the Olympic games with Argentina, but that won’t be the case.”

“My club rely on me and they want me to be at my best next for the beginning of next season. They couldn’t let me joining Argentina and that’s what they told me. I can understand them.”
