Dries Mertens: 'I want to play more for Napoli and Belgium'
As well as Dries Mertens has been playing, it appears that the Belgian isn’t happy with having to share playing time
“When I was started in the Champions League I was very happy, but I generally play one game out of two,” he told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, “I’d like to play more”.
“Judging by our calendar I understand why I can’t play every game, but one in two isn’t enough, even if I have to accept it”.
The Belgian star came to prominence this season by smashing two goals past Monaco, and two more against Pescara in Serie A action. He also took time to talk about his so-far limited role with the Diables Rouges.
“I’d be disappointed not to play,” he said of the upcoming qualifiers against Bosnia and Gibraltar, “especially considering [Kevin] De Bruyne’s absence.
