Derby d'Italia countdown - Allegri press-conference
Juventus coach Massimo Allegri has been speaking at his press-conference ahead of tomorrow’s huge clash against Inter. Calciomercato.com’s Nicola Balice was also present.
BALANCE OF THE TEAM – “The game against Sevilla brought us back down to earth and kept our feet on the ground. There is no such thing as a forgone conclusion in football; you must earn the right to win. We will try to win every competition this season but we need to have balance within the team. To win all the matches you play in is impossible”.
THE ATTACK – “It’s possible to play Higuain and Mandzukic together and also include Dybala. There are thigs to consider all the time but you need to find the right balance”.
INTER – “This is the first real Scudetto challenger. Inter will be different from the team that played Thursday and the one that beat Pescara last weekend. They will have a huge desire to beat Juventus and prove they are at the same level and we know how important this game is. In the first four matches we have played against three of the current top seven sides in the league.
DYBALA – “In the past he has been used to playing a deeper role and it’s only a matter of time before he starts scoring again”.
FORMATION – “The only player certain to start is Lichtsteiner; I will make some changes for sure. Sturaro is playing with the Primavera squad and should be available from next week. Being on the bench is not a rejection as you need to have strong players available to come on. When it gets to March, games and competitions are won from the bench sometimes. Khedira will also play”.
PJACA – “He’s a young player who is working hard; he will eventually find space in the team. He is one of the best players around for his age and Juve has some of the best youngsters available”.
SEVILLA – “They had only one shot on target, we had seven. At the end of the day, things are evaluated by the result but the performance was positive despite not scoring and it should not be viewed as a failure”.
