De Laurentiis: "Higuain will not betray us". On Herrera, Insigne & Gabbiadini...
Napoli search for a midfielder to bring some added quality to the midfield. The two names on the shortlist are Udinese’s Piotr Zielinski and Hector Herrera. President Aurelio De Laurentiis has been speaking to Corriere della Sera and he began by explaining that; “We have found an agreement with Zielinski but the player prefers to go to Liverpool, obviously he hasn’t seen much of Naples but he knows the Beatles!”
HIGUAIN
Then of course, there’s Gonzalo Higuain, now playing for Argentina in the Copa America whose future remains uncertain with clubs from all over Europe vying for his signature. The patron stated that; “He’s still young and his family believe in healthy values. So far I have not received any offers that match the buy-out clause and until any offers match what we want, we won’t be sitting down to talk to anyone”.
GABBIADINI & INSIGNE
On want-away Italian striker Manolo Gabbiadini he explained that; “Unfortunately he got injured and was out for two months. Sarri has not had the opportunity to utilise him and I would like him to stay with us. Finally, his thought for Lorenzo Insigne ahead of Monday’s Euro 2016 opener against Belgium; “I don’t think he will play very much as Conte prefers the older players”.
