Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has spoken to Monaco Hebdo magazine about his club’s transfer policy this summer.

He began by talking about potential defensive reinforcements and in particular, Monaco’s Fabinho stating that; “Fabinho interests me and I’ve offered £10 million to start the negotiations”. The 22-year-old Brazilian will undoubtedly cost more but Napoli intend to try to keep up the dialogue with the French club.
 

Next it was on to the midfield. De Laurentiis declared that; “We want to strengthen here”, and whilst not giving any names away, his priority target is Mexican Hector Herrera of Porto. The vesuviani are hoping to close the deal when the player returns from the Copa America tournament.  

In attack, the patron spoke about unsettled Italian Manolo Gabbiadini. He explained that; “We have to see what happens with him”, before adding that; “We also need some cover for (Jose) Callejon”. Gabbiadini has attracted interest from Germany with both Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg making recent contact with Napoli about the 24-year-old.
