Daniele De Rossi to pen contract extension with AS Roma
De Rossi is set to sign a contract extension of one year at least, though there are still no details regarding his new salary. Juventus were considering signing the 33-year-old midfielder as a free agent, but De Rossi has rejected the Old Lady’s offer as only wants to play for AS Roma in Italy.
Many MLS clubs had also been linked with welcoming the player’s services at the end of the season, but the imminent contract extension means that De Rossi is not going to leave AS Roma in the near future.
De Rossi’s new deal will be followed by contract extensions of Everton target Kevin Strootman and a pay rise for Radja Nainggolan who is still on Chelsea’s shopping list.
