    Dani Osvaldo close to Serie A return

    Daniel Osvaldo is close to returning to Serie A, calciomercato.com has exclusively learned. The Argentinean striker with Italian passport is the man Pescara have chosen to replace Gianluca Lapadula who has just signed for AC Milan.

    Sources close to the club have revealed Osvaldo has not reject the chance to be wearing the newly-promoted Serie A team’s shirt and negotiations between the two parties are ongoing.

    Osvaldo has already played for Fiorentina, Bologna, Roma, Juventus and Inter in Serie A and a new meeting between Pescara and the player’s entourage will take place today.

    Pescara will offer Osvaldo a one-year-deal with option to extend for one more season at the end of the next campaign.

    Osvaldo, 30, was sacked by Boca Juniors a few months ago for unprofessional behaviour and is now free to join any other club for nothing. He has scored 41 goals in 124 games in Serie A throughout his career.
