Cult hero Andrea Belotti is living life in the fast lane, scores beauty against Udinese

It's been a heck of a season for Andrea Belotti. In fact, check that, it's been a great calendar year for the 22-year-old from Calcinate, a small town just outside Bergamo.

Just a few minutes ago, Belotti somehow managed to come up with THIS to nail a fourth hammer in Udinese's coffin (4-1).  The best Italian goalscorer in 2016, with a stunning 11 strikes, Belotti proved what many suspected last year: that had Paulo Dybala not been there, he would have been a starter in Palermo... and probably still would be, had genius owner Maurizio Zamparini not sold him to the Granata for what now feels like a bargain €7.5 million.

Considering that the Rosanero had bought him for €5.5 million only two years before from Albinoleffe... that leaves Zamparini making a meagre €2 million profit on a player who could soon be worth €15.

So who is Belotti? Well, his hard-running, energetic approach to games has quickly endeared him to his new fans. With Fabio Quagliarella and Maxi Lopez falling out of Giampero Ventura's graces, the effervescent Belotti has pumped life into Torino's attack...though it's taken his accuracy a while to heat up.

Now scoring freely, Belotti's highlights include knocking in the winner from the spot against Inter (and diving for the penalty, in all likelihood), and netting another penalty (this time legitimate) against Bologna... prompting manager Giampiero Ventura to do this.

"The cockerel", as he is known, has turned into the RoadRunner. Don't be surprised if he somehow makes Antonio Conte's France 2016 list.
